Keld Lodge has developed a
fine reputation for quality food using only the best
seasonal, local produce, with our stunning restaurant
boasting the best views across Swaledale.
We always have
varied selections of local Keld Lamb dishes, ranging
from Keld Lamb Hotpot to Boned, Rolled & Stuffed
breast of Keld Lamb. Also some excellent signature
dishes like our famous ‘Curried Banana’
soup, believe me you will never eat any other soup
after tasting this sensational dish.
Although we have a set daily menu, we also have daily
‘Specials’, which reflect seasonal specialities.
These range from Vegetarian dishes, using vegetables
of the season, through to Game, featuring local Grouse
and Pheasant.
All our meat is bought through Hammonds of Bainbridge,
with our game through the local Gunnerside Estate.
Our fresh fish is delivered from the East Coast by
Hodgson’s of Hartlepool, (only because we can’t
get enough fresh fish from the river Swale!) and our
special ‘Whale’ (large haddock) with home-made
chips is legendary! All our fresh vegetables are supplied
locally by ‘The Good Life’ in Hawes.
Our chef’s cook from fresh, so if you have any
special dietary requirements, please let us know,
and we will be happy to make something more suited
to your specific needs. |
